Ron from Peel, Western Australia, has written in to our Facebook Group, which you can join at www.Facebook.com/Groups/The19thHoleClub saying that, when hitting with the iron, there’s a lot of movement in his swing, but not a lot of result.
As part of Golf University’s weekly “Tip from the Pro” I videoed Gary Colquhoun at the Mandurah Country Club in Western Australia where he teaches us:
- Why golfers tend to wind their hips and shoulders up too much
- How legs start to work before shoulders in the swing
And…
- The importance of keeping the lower body quiet, focusing on building torque in the upper body
Which will ultimately…
- Allow us to get more distance out of our irons with much less effort
