How to Hit Out of a Bunker with a Twenty Dollar Note

By March 16, 2016April 24th, 2018Blog, Golf

As you would know the bunker is a tough place to hit out of – luckily, there’s a trick involving a twenty dollar note that makes things a little easier…

As part of Golf University’s weekly “Tip from the Pro” I videoed Justin Speirani at the Cobram Barooga Golf Resort in New South Wales where he teaches us:

  • Why golfers try to lift the ball in the air, not allowing the sand iron to do its job
  • How to allow the loft to do the work

And …

  • How to hit a ball off a $20 note to see the ideal contact point to get the right amount of loft

Which will ultimately…

  • Allow us to get a better, more consistent shot out of the bunker
