How To Hit Out Of Wet Packed Sand In A Bunker

By February 8, 2017April 24th, 2018Blog, Golf

Hitting out of wet packed sand is one of the toughest bunker shots you can make.

That’s why it’s crucial that you know how to do it right.

As part of Golf University’s weekly “Tip from the Pro” I videoed Lawrie Montague the former Australian Women’s coach and co-coach of the Indonesian Team at Joondalup Golf Resort, in Perth, Australia, where he teaches us:

  • How to adjust your stance to hit deep into the sand
  • What lowering your club’s handle can do to improve your shot

And…

  • Why it’s important to open your club face slightly play the shot

Which will ultimately…

  • Get you out of the bunker and onto the green.
