Ideally, we would warm up for our matches by turning up the club an hour early and having a few swings at the nets. Realistically, however, we’re usually hearing our names being called out while we’re still in the parking lot!
As part of Golf University’s weekly “Tip from the Pro” I videoed internationally renowned strength and conditioning coach, Alani “Storm” Mala at Riverside Oaks Golf Resort, in Sydney, Australia where he teaches us:
- A quick warm up routine to get your blood flowing before practice or a game
- How to loosen up the legs and glutes for to increase our distance instantly
And …
- A quick way to lift the heart rate and kick your golfing muscles into action
Which will ultimately…
- Allow us to quickly and efficiently warm up and be physically ready for a match rather than getting to the 5th hole before we are even into the game.
