How to Hit A Fried Egg Out Of The Bunker

By January 25, 2017April 24th, 2018Blog, Golf

A “fried egg” or buried lie is a situation where your ball lands in a bunker and gets partially buried in the sand.

It’s a tough shot to recover from, but there are ways to make it easier.

As part of Golf University’s weekly “Tip from the Pro” I videoed Lawrie Montague the former Australian Women’s coach and co-coach of the Indonesian Team at Joondalup Golf Resort, in Perth, Australia, where he teaches us:

  • How to simplify your thinking to prevent stress
  • Why you should bring two clubs into the bunker with you

And…

  • An easy follow-through method that gets the ball into the air

Which will ultimately…

  • Help you escape the sand bunker and put your ball onto the green.
