Hitting out of a bunker, over water, onto an island green has got to be one of the hardest shots in golf!
Luckily, with the right technique, the shot can be made a lot less intimidating.
As part of Golf University’s weekly “Tip from the Pro” I videoed Grant Smith the Head Golf Professional at Arundel Hills Country Club, Gold Coast, Australia where he teaches us:
- To get a natural lean by digging only your front foot in
- How to contact the ball so that you don’t take too much sand
And …
- To hit the ball with a half swing out of the bunker
Which will ultimately…
- Help us get onto an island green out of a bunker
