Seeing your drive end up in a long fairway bunker isn’t necessarily a catastrophe!
With the right shot, you can even hit straighter and longer and often get to the green from the bunker.
As part of Golf University’s weekly “Tip from the Pro” I videoed Mark Bowd the Head Golf Professional at Murray Downs Golf and Country Club in New South Wales where he teaches us:
- How to go for the green out of the fairway
- To hit the ball with a shallow divot
And …
- How to set up the shot to get the distance and elevation required
Which will ultimately…
- Help us get out of the fairway bunker and hopefully a lot closer to the green
