How To Improve Your Compression On The Golf Ball

By September 21, 2015Golf

There’s a special way to practice that will give you more distance and consistency when hitting with the iron; it’s called an impact bag!

As part of Golf University’s weekly “Tip from the Pro” I videoed Michelle Beecroft at the Melbourne Golf Academy in Victoriawhere she teaches us:

  • How compression is the downward strike of the club face on the golf ball
  • How to get a clean contact off the ground

And …

  • How to practice with an impact bag to improve spine angle and impact position

Which will ultimately…

  • Allow us to get more distance and consistency from our irons
