How to Play out of a Water Hazard

By February 25, 2016April 24th, 2018Blog, Golf

It’s tough hitting the ball out of water – not only is it hard to get any good distance, but you get covered in muck in the process!

As part of Golf University’s weekly “Tip from the Pro” I videoed 2011 One Asia Order of Merit winner Andre Stolz at the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course in Fiji where he teaches us:

  • To bring some wet weather gear because of splash back
  • The importance of stance stability for hitting out of water

And …

  • Don’t come in too shallow or the club can bounce off the water

Which will ultimately…

  • Help us get the ball clean out of the water (without us getting too dirty!)
